Type IX D2

As large and clumsy as IX D1-freighter, the IX D2 was the fighting version. Because of their size, their need for extra time to maneuver and dive, these boats were defenately unsuitable for action in the Atlantic and meant for service in the Indian Ocean, The Pacific and other distant waters.
